Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Healthcare Science Practitioner to join our team in the Diagnostic Cardiology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services and providing expert diagnostic support to patients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology, with experience in non-invasive procedures and a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care. You will work closely with other specialists and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver clinical sessions within Non-Invasive Cardiology, utilizing expertise in electrocardiography, ambulatory ECG/BP analysis, exercise testing, and autonomic function testing.
  • To work autonomously as the lead physiologist in a broad range of non-invasive investigations, including provocative tests.
  • To prioritize and organize clinical caseloads, re-adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing clinical situations or patient needs.
  • To participate in CPD and other developmental activities to maintain professional skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • BSc(hons) Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) / BSc(hons) Healthcare Science (Cardiology) or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered or eligible to register with RCCP, AHCS, or HCPC.
  • SCST Diploma in Electrocardiography interpretation or willingness to undertake Immediate Life Support training.
  • Post-qualification experience of at least 12 months working as a Cardiac Physiologist/Healthcare Science practitioner.
