Job Title: Public Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Public Health Practitioner to join our team at Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Public Health Practitioner, you will play a key role in developing and implementing public health and health promotion activities in accordance with national and local priorities.

You will work closely with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans and treatments. You will also provide education and training to staff, students, and other healthcare professionals on ADHD management.

To succeed in this role, you will require a strong understanding of public health principles and practice, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills. A recorded prescribing qualification as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and independent non-medical prescriber status are also essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement public health and health promotion activities in accordance with national and local priorities.
  • Conduct specialist clinical assessments and interventions for adults with ADHD.
  • Provide education and training to staff, students, and other healthcare professionals on ADHD management.
  • Contribute to the development of services and implement new ways of working.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and stay up-to-date with best practices in ADHD assessment and treatment.

Person Specification:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with live NMC Registration and recorded prescribing qualification.
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber with clear demonstrable knowledge and skills and extensive previous experience relating to prescribing.
  • Training in assessment and treatment of ADHD.

Salary and Benefits:
