Our IT Team

The CTO function is part of Information Technology Services and provides infrastructure, security, technical services, service management, and support services for the Atradius group and its customers. The Oracle Database Team is responsible for delivering and managing our Oracle database estate, which supports our key applications and systems.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Oracle Database Team, you will be responsible for providing EBusiness Suite DBA support activities, as well as core database administration services for the business and its customers. This includes installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level support for Oracle EBusiness 12.2 architecture, installation, configuration, cloning, and performance tuning.
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of Oracle database concepts, object and data modeling techniques, and design principles.
  • Provide professional consultancy advice on complex requests and contribute to planning activities, technical roadmaps, and documentation.
  • Set standards for database and application administration, ensuring procedures are documented, maintained, and followed.
  • Manage database and application configurations, including installing, patching, upgrading software servers, and application tools.
  • Participate in the team on-call rota, providing 24/7 support to customers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Oracle EBusiness and RDBMS and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Data Guard configuration, RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Golden Gate, and RMAN.
  • Good Unix Shell programming, SQL, and PL/SQL skills, with experience in Ansible automation a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience working in a global commercial enterprise-level organization and a 24/7 operational environment.
  • ITIL certification or relevant experience.
  • Good spoken and written English.
