Job Title: Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Atradius is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our Oracle Database Team, you will be responsible for providing EBusiness Suite DBA Support activities along with core Database Administration services for the business and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle Databases.
  • Ensuring all databases are fully covered for operational support meeting Incident and Change SLAs, logging and monitoring, backup and recovery, operational reporting, 24x7 on-call support, operational documentation, and security compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge of Oracle database concepts, object and data modelling techniques, and design principles.
  • Providing professional consultancy advice on complex requests and attending meetings to present proposals and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Setting standards for database and application administration, ensuring procedures are documented, maintained, and followed for all routine database administration activities.
  • Producing and maintaining plans for backup and recovery of database, high availability, and disaster recovery, advising stakeholders on best practices and ensuring plans meet the business need.
  • Managing database and application configurations, including installing, patching, upgrading software servers, and application tools, ensuring all standard procedures are observed, applying fixes, and maintaining documentation.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in Oracle EBusiness and RDBMS and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience of using Data Guard configuration, RAC (Real Application Clusters), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Golden Gate, and RMAN.
  • Good Unix Shell programming, SQL, and PL/SQL skills, and Ansible automation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Self-starter with great problem-solving skills and a continuous desire to improve things.
  • Experience of working in a global commercial enterprise-level organisation and a 24x7 operational environment.
  • Degree-level education or relevant work experience.
  • ITIL certification or relevant experience.
  • Good spoken and written English.
