Care Support Role Overview

We are seeking experienced care professionals to provide high-quality support to individuals in their homes.

This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about delivering exceptional care and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Giving and receiving reports on the condition and progress of service users as instructed, ensuring alignment with individual care plans and respecting their wishes at all times.
  2. Ensuring that service users receive maximum benefit from their care support provided by our staff.
  3. Communicating effectively with service users, their relatives, and visitors in a polite and courteous manner, while respecting individual needs, beliefs, wishes, and preferences.
  4. Maintaining confidentiality of information relating to service users and our organisation.
  5. Supporting service users to maintain comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout all aspects of care and support.
  6. Protecting service users from danger and abuse.
  7. Assisting service users with personal hygiene according to their choice and preference, continence needs, and pressure area care, if required.
  8. Grooming and dressing service users according to their wishes, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.
  9. Adhering to service user risk assessments and care plans.
  10. Preparing service users and their environment for safe moving and handling, using appropriate equipment as trained.
  11. Maintaining health and safety standards by identifying and reporting potential dangers, adhering to health & safety training, policies, and procedures.
  12. Supporting service users with daily living tasks, including activities, cooking, cleaning, and life skills.
  13. Working with individuals who require de-escalation techniques, positive behaviour support, and risk management.

Requirements:

  1. In-date Enhanced DBS registration to the update service.
  2. Care certificate or equivalent qualification.
  3. Completed mandatory trainings.
  4. A minimum of 6 months' experience in the UK, working in a similar field.
  5. A valid driving license is beneficial and attracts a higher rate of pay for drivers.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
