Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our client's dynamic team in Northampton. As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of private client tax matters, with a focus on advisory work. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality tax advisory services, supporting the Tax Partner in delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of tax advisory services, including drafting detailed reports and providing comprehensive advice to clients.
- Manage work in progress and billing for the department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert guidance on a range of private client tax issues.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in private client tax advisory services and will be confident in handling complex tax matters with minimal supervision. You will have a strong technical knowledge in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications: CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Broad and strong technical knowledge in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
- Skills: Proficient in report writing, with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, take ownership of projects, and ensure quality control.
- Work Ethic: Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work as part of a wider team, with excellent interpersonal skills.
