EA First is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join our team in Northampton. As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of private client tax matters, with a keen focus on advisory work. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality tax advisory services, supporting the Tax Partner in delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of tax advisory services, including drafting detailed reports and providing comprehensive advice to clients.
- Manage work in progress and billing for the department, ensuring efficient and effective workflow.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering expert guidance on a range of private client tax issues.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in private client tax advisory services and will be confident in handling complex tax matters with minimal supervision. You will have a strong technical knowledge in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Experience: Broad and strong technical knowledge in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
- Skills: Proficient in report writing, with excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, take ownership of projects, and ensure quality control.
- Work Ethic: Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Team Player: Strong ability to work as part of a wider team, with excellent interpersonal skills.
