At GSL Education, we're seeking a dedicated Autism Practitioner to join our team in Scunthorpe. As an Autism Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a tailored, compassionate setting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of autism, sensory processing, and strategies to support effective learning. With excellent communication skills and a patient approach, you'll foster students' communication, social, and independent learning skills, promoting confidence and resilience.
Responsibilities will include delivering individualised support to students with autism, adapting learning activities to meet each student's unique needs. You'll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a structured, engaging, and sensory-friendly environment.
Key requirements for the role include previous experience working with students with autism or in an ASD-specific setting. You'll need to be able to adapt to various learning styles and manage behaviours constructively. Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or child development are desirable but not required.
We offer a competitive salary of £83.33 - £90.00 per day, depending on experience. As an Autism Practitioner with GSL Education, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners and contribute to a supportive and dynamic school environment.
Benefits include immediate start, professional development opportunities, and a positive school culture that promotes collaboration, student well-being, and continuous improvement.
