**Role: Vocational Practitioner**

**Location: Dragonby, Scunthorpe**

**Salary: £23,420.80 per annum**

**Hours: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)**

**The Opportunity**

Options Autism, part of Outcomes First Group, are recruiting a Vocational Practitioner to join our team in in Dragonby, Scunthorpe

**Our next Vocational Practitioner will be someone who has**:

- ** Mandatory: NVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care (Adults) or higher**:

- Arts & Crafts
- Cookery
- General Wellbeing/Fitness
- Walking (for fitness/pleasure)

Some of your duties would be as follows
- Support occupants in developing life skills and working through their key skills programme with particular attention to a specific vocation or activity
- Participate in the rota for care of Service Users as part of the care team
- Develop and maintain a programme of vocational activities
- Manage the activities programme in an effective and proactive manner
- Support and supervise Service Users within the Home in accordance with their personal/pathway/placement plans and the policies, procedures and practices of the Home
- Personal care (where applicable) including laundry, cooking and shopping

**The Location**

Options Thorpe House is a small specialist service which has been adapted to the needs of the individuals that we support. With open space around the accommodation, individuals are able to enjoy recreational time close to home.

Options Thorpe House provides high quality accommodation for 11 residents in the form of 9 independent flats and 1 shared flat for 2 individuals.

On-site facilities include: a large recreational area and designated activity room and adjoining sensory room. Also, due to the proximity of the services, daily activities are available at nearby Options Roxby House, which benefits from a sports hall and gym, various vocational rooms such as music, art, teaching kitchen, farm, and a large garden area.

We are based in Dragonby and are within commuting distance from Scunthorpe, Hull and surrounding towns and villages.
