We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Director to lead our construction projects at Alexander Associates. With a strong background in construction management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

About the Role

As a Construction Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and completion. You will work closely with our development team, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of the project are coordinated and executed smoothly.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects, including planning, design, and execution;
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules;
  • Oversee and manage contractors, subcontractors, and other third-party vendors;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Monitor and control project costs, including procurement and invoicing;
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the site team, including training and development;
  • Coordinate and manage plot inspections, quality control procedures, and other site activities;
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors;
Requirements

To be successful as a Construction Project Director at Alexander Associates, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction management, preferably with a developer or contractor;
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Membership of a professional body, such as the Chartered Institute of Builders;
