Job Title: Plumbing Assessor/Trainer

Join our team at Bath College as a Plumbing Assessor/Trainer and play a vital role in delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes in the plumbing and heating sector.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Plumbing Assessor/Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our Apprenticeship Programme, you will be responsible for delivering classroom theory and workshop practical teaching sessions, supporting onsite assessments, and completing 12-week apprentice reviews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide induction, assessment, training, coaching, and assessment to apprentices undertaking Apprenticeship Programmes and supporting qualifications.
  • Train, assess, support, advise, and assist apprentices during their training both at college and in the workplace.
  • Deal with queries when supervising apprentices.
  • Participate in the promotional and marketing aspects of the college.
  • Undertake initial assessment of apprentices and assist in the apprentice action planning.
Requirements
  • Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade B or above.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a heating and plumbing discipline.
  • Assessor to demonstrate a commitment to complete the TAQA Assessor Award within 12 months.
  • Industry qualifications must include: CENWAT (Domestic Boilers etc), CCN/1 (Domestic Core Safety), CKR (Cookers), HTR1 (Domestic Fires), MET1 (Meters), CONGLP1 (LPG).
  • Full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle.
