Job Summary

This role plays a crucial part in UPS's commitment to providing a safe and efficient work environment by overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of physical assets and equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists with ensuring the protection of physical assets, facility, and equipment maintenance, as well as facility housekeeping.
  • Manages budgets effectively.
  • Identifies and schedules necessary repairs and preventative maintenance using BaSE mechanics and outside vendors to maintain the condition of the facility.
  • Communicates assigned work status to colleagues to determine potential impact on the department's schedule.
  • Ensures environmental compliance in accordance with UPS environmental programs (e.g., Storm Water, Clean Air, Hazardous Materials, etc.) to promote the environment and health and safety of UPS workers and the surrounding community.
  • Delivers required regulatory training (e.g., Lockout Training/Hazmat Training) as directed, to BaSE and non-BaSE personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in Engineering - Preferred
  • Previous team management experience - Mandatory
  • Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, automation and control, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and simple diagrams
  • Availability to work flexible hours
