This role involves maintaining, repairing, and improving production equipment in a heavy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively as part of the Maintenance team to ensure operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include routine servicing, attending breakdowns, identifying faults, and problem-solving at the press with minimal downtime to aid production. The Maintenance Engineer will also report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.

Additionally, the role requires ensuring all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations. The Maintenance Engineer will also ensure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced.

Preventative and reactive maintenance on Mould Injection Machinery and robotic machinery is also a key aspect of the role. The Maintenance Engineer will test and confirm electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic operations of mould injection Machine.

Other responsibilities include ensuring risk assessments are available, read, and understood for each activity undertaken. The Maintenance Engineer will also undertake special projects as required and quality control of work by appropriate reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or similar ideally) and 17th/18th Edition training. Hydraulics/Pneumatics experience is required, and Injection moulding machinery experience would be beneficial.
