About the Role:

The Utilities Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Maintenance Technicians and Engineers to deliver a cost-effective maintenance service ensuring the safe, reliable operation of all utilities plant and equipment and compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise GPS tools and best practices to identify opportunities to continuously improve equipment and maintenance team performance.
  • Ensure that all services are provided in full compliance with all regulatory, legal and corporate standards.
  • Accountable for all aspects of the Utilities engineering budget, providing detailed cost reports and ensuring a cost-effective maintenance service that delivers reliable equipment to the agreed budget.
  • To assess short, medium and long-term resource requirements and ensure appropriate recruitment, training and development of staff.
  • Through effective performance management, ensure the Utilities team remain green across all aspects of Engineering, EHS and Quality compliance.
  • Ensure the timely and appropriate submission and progression of CAPEX projects in order to maintain the reliability and integrity of Utilities operations and infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Substantial Utilities operational experience, strong technical understanding of utilities equipment and operations.
  • Experienced engineering leader.
  • Good understanding of engineering principles, standards and regulations, GMP, GxP etc.
  • Educated to degree level (Mech/Elec/Chemical/Asset Management).
  • Asbestos P405.
  • NEBOSH Certificate.
