About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing others, including delegating, coordinating, appraising, coaching, and developing/mentoring employees with less experience.
  • Persuading and influencing clients, consultants, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Working with others to create and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution.
  • Representing Mace in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical professional with project risk management experience.
  • A general understanding of all aspects of project controls, how they complement each other, and wider project delivery.
  • Awareness of Mace's way (control centre) processes and recommended tools.
  • A working knowledge of current methodologies and tools related to managing projects (e.g., MS Excel, Risk Hive, PRA, ARM, Primavera P6).
  • The ability to lead negotiations with third parties as a project controls/risk management specialist.
  • The ability to respond to client/stakeholder requests effectively and sensitively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to validate and check risk management inputs, recording, and reports produced, providing basic commentary and analysis.
  • The ability to design and develop risk management reports in core risk management tools to an intermediate level.

Desirable Skills

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Exposure to project risk management methodologies and delivery.
  • Successful interaction with a range of key stakeholders, including clients and wider teams.
  • Progressing towards professional qualification (e.g., APM, MSP, PPC, etc.).
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
