Looking for a fulfilling role in social work? Our client, Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, is seeking an experienced Locum Practitioner to support the Designated Social Care Officer in their SEND team. As a non-case holding role, you will play a crucial part in rolling out training, co-producing with parents, carers, children and young people, and developing Social care/SEND services.

About the Role

This full-time opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of £40, with a 6-month contract. You will be working closely with the Designated Social Care Officer, supporting them in their duties and contributing to the development of SEND services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Designated Social Care Officer in their duties
  • Roll out training to ensure effective service delivery
  • Co-produce with parents, carers, children and young people to develop tailored support plans
  • Contribute to the development of Social care/SEND services
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent in social work
  • Current Social Work England registration
  • Significant frontline experience in Children's Social Services within the UK working as a qualified Social Worker
  • Strong background in Safeguarding and Children with Disabilities
  • Experience of supervising others is desirable
