Key Responsibilities

The Asylum Review and Assessment Manager will be responsible for reviewing and assessing housing options for individuals seeking asylum and vulnerable residents, ensuring all recommendations are in line with council policies and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and reviewing housing options for individuals seeking asylum and vulnerable residents.
  • Handling complex cases, providing clear guidance on housing rights, homelessness prevention, and support pathways.
  • Conducting thorough reviews of decisions made within the housing options service, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

The post-holder will work closely with colleagues to ensure effective operation of the service. A degree-level education or equivalent, experience of using case management systems, and knowledge of current and future challenges facing social housing and public services are essential.

The estimated annual salary for this position is £47,150, based on 37 hours per week.
