About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for interviewing clients, assessing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction, and resolving queries related to these benefits.

Salary Details

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £36,600 per annum, paid at a rate of £19.02 per hour (PAYE) or £25 per hour through an umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities

  • ">
  • To provide tailored advice and guidance to individuals on their benefits entitlement, administered by both national and local government.">
  • To assess claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction in accordance with national legislation and council policies.">
  • To work with clients to resolve queries related to their claim for Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Reduction.">
  • To undertake in-claim/accuracy reviews to ensure the right award is made to the right person at the right time.">
  • To review or supersede decisions where new information has been provided by the client.">
  • To refer claims of suspected irregularity to the Single Fraud Investigation Service and respond to requests for information/evidence and queries from the SFIS, implementing investigation outcome decisions.">
