Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Intensive Care Medicine to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in critical care and toxicology/national poisons information service. The post is for 6 to 24 months and can be adapted to support the Fellow in developing their specific area of interest.
Main Responsibilities- Consolidate clinical skills and experience in general adult Intensive Care Medicine
- Exposure to renal replacement techniques, advanced cardiovascular monitoring and support, percutaneous tracheostomy, non-invasive ventilation and advanced invasive ventilation modes including APRV
- Participate in research for the national poisons information service, a local toxicology in-reach service and participate in the local NPIS rota
- Participate in on-calls on the senior trainee rota and the NPIS rota

Requirements- MBBS or equivalent
- Training in Radiation Protection or agreement to attend next available course
- Postgraduate membership/Fellowship
- ALS
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
- Up to date with current medical practices
- Ability to take appropriate clinical decisions when necessary
- Able to relate to patients, staff and medical colleagues
