Critical Care Specialist in Retrieval and Transfer Medicine

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Specialist to join our team as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Critical Care Retrieval and Transfer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative service that provides high-quality intensive care during inter-hospital transfers of critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities- Deploy in a team alongside a support worker and a retrieval and transfer practitioner to provide critical care services during inter-hospital transfers.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and transfer.
- Develop and maintain expertise in critical care retrieval and transfer medicine, staying up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge in critical care retrieval and transfer medicine.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice and up-to-date appraisal.
- ST4 or equivalent experience in Intensive Care Medicine or Anaesthesia.
- Hold FRCA or FFICM certification.
- Successful completion of relevant life support, resuscitation, and trauma courses.
- A British driving license.
- Completed intermediate level training or Stage 2 training in Anaesthesia or ICM.
- Substantive Consultant post within Wales.
- Diploma in Retrieval and Transfer Medicine.
- Fellowship in Immediate Medical Care.
- Higher Degree (MD/MSc).
- Postgraduate qualification in medical education.
- Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team in both hospital and transport environments.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both hospital and transport environments.
- Ability to maintain CPD to a high standard.
- Able to travel to more than one ACCTS base for training, supervision, and currency shifts if required.
