Job Description

This is a Band 6 role with a salary range of £37,338 - £44,962 per annum. As a Specialist Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for managing the dispensary at Hollins Park Hospital, ensuring that it meets its quality and activity targets. You will also supervise staff on a day-to-day basis, organise rotas and cover for any unexpected staff absences, and hold HR management responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of dispensary services and will be able to demonstrate core leadership and organisational skills. They will also have experience of medicines management services within an NHS context and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • BTEC level 3 in pharmaceutical science or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • BTEC Level 4 in dispensing accuracy checking or equivalent qualification
  • NVQ A1 workplace assessor or willingness to work towards
