Orthopaedic Perioperative Leader Job Summary
KIMS Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Senior Registered Practitioner to fill the position of Deputy Lead Theatre Practitioner in Orthopaedics.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a senior practitioner to take on a leadership position and develop their skills in perioperative management, while maintaining a primary focus on scrub practice.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading the scrub team to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.
- Mentoring junior staff and providing clinical guidance.
- Effective communication with other departments to streamline patient care.
- Preparing operating rooms for surgery, optimising resources and reducing waste.
- Evaluating patient care outcomes and making recommendations for improvement.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Practitioner (RN or ODP).
- Practice Educator Course completion or current enrollment.
- Post-registration clinical experience in orthopaedic surgery.
- Experience in planning and running theatre lists.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Postgraduate qualification in a clinical specialty.
