About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Programme Manager to join our team at ASDA. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in driving our procurement transformation and delivering business value through effective category management and strategic sourcing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Category Team Lead
    • Develop and implement category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end sourcing activities and ensure effective category management.
  • Strategic Projects / Agile Team Lead
    • Lead major business investments, executive priorities, and cost transformation programs to deliver business value.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans and ensure effective project delivery.
  • Programme Delivery
    • Develop and implement programmes to deliver cost and cash savings, improve supplier performance, and drive business value.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement programme plans and ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Transformation Lead
    • Lead the procurement transformation programme to embed new ways of working and drive business value.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement transformation plans and ensure effective transformation delivery.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • Proven experience in procurement programme management, category management, and strategic sourcing.
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver business value.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business value and improve supplier performance.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to develop and implement effective category strategies and programmes to drive business value.
  • Qualifications
    • Relevant qualifications in procurement, category management, or a related field.
