This Mental Health Assistant role at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in the field of mental health support. You will work closely with individuals who require support with daily living tasks, social activities, and personal care.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Support: Plan and attend outings with individuals to various clubs and leisure activities, such as day centers, bowling, cinema, swimming, etc.
  • Medical Support: Administer and monitor medication as required.
  • Personal Care: Assist individuals in maintaining their wellbeing by promoting personal care, including assistance with showering/bathing, dressing, arranging visits with professionals, and supporting with incontinence care.
  • Practical Support: Encourage daily household tasks, such as general housework, laundry, ironing, cooking, and shopping, to help individuals maintain their tenancy.

Requirements:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
  • No previous experience in care is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Estimated Salary: £23,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
