Sustainability and Health Specialist

Job Summary:
This EHS Generalist role is responsible for providing great service with the ability to build strong relationships across the business. The ideal candidate will have initiative in developing EHS programmes and initiating change processes, and a good understanding of the EHS management system in line with legal requirements and corporate standards.
The successful candidate will work on various projects with the EHS team, leading and preparing to present plans to key stakeholders. They will also be experienced in balancing a diverse workload with attention to detail and deadlines, and committed to their continuous professional development.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing EHS programmes and initiatives for compliance with UK regulations and Corporate EHS Standards.
- Providing guidance to management and employees across the business on EHS matters, using escalation techniques when required.
- Assisting in audits, inspections, and incident investigations, which may involve working at height, accessing confined spaces, and reporting findings.
- Supporting the EHS and Facilities Team in ensuring compliance with COSHH regulations throughout the UK.
- Preparing and presenting reports on EHS performance objectives and metrics.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge and experience of working within the parameters ISO14001 and ISO45001.
- Detailed knowledge of UK Statutory regulation concerning Environment, Health and Safety.
- Working knowledge of General and Hazardous waste hierarchy, COSHH and associated requirements.
- Previous experience in relation to Health and Safety Training and creation of content, ensuring audit ready at all times.
Salary Range: £58,000 - £68,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
