About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Operating Department Practitioner, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Eye Day Unit team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of safe and effective care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Eye Day Unit team in delivering high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Provide training and development opportunities to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with NMC registration
  • Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • ODP with HCPC registration
  • Experience in Ophthalmology
