Supportive Learning Facilitator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream school.
Location - Abergavenny
Position - SEND Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Working with SEND in mainstream settings
Contract type - Temporary
Full time/part time - Full time
Minimum rate of pay - £22,000 per annum
Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEND, helping them to access the mainstream curriculum. You will work closely with both the class teacher and the SENDCO to deliver tailored support.
- Provide individualized support to students with SEND
- Assist in differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of SEND students
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing information with the teacher to adjust learning plans as needed
You will require a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, as well as experience working with students with SEND in a mainstream school environment.
