Job Title: Assistant Director of People Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Director of People Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our People Services Team and contribute to the development and implementation of our People Strategy.

About the Role

The Assistant Director of People Services will be responsible for leading the HR, Wellbeing, and Occupational Health teams, as well as the Payroll and Workforce Information team, Resourcing team, and Culture/Staff Experience team. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of managing and leading successful multidisciplinary teams and functions at a senior level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of our People Strategy, working closely with the Director of People & Development and the senior leadership team.
  • Manage and lead the HR, Wellbeing, and Occupational Health teams, as well as the Payroll and Workforce Information team, Resourcing team, and Culture/Staff Experience team.
  • Develop and implement effective business-focused HR, Wellbeing, and OD solutions that improve organisational effectiveness and enable teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Work in partnership with the senior management team to identify and deliver effective business-focused HR, Wellbeing, and OD solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisation-wide cultural change programmes.
Requirements
  • Masters Level Qualification in a People Management subject or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of CIPD Chartered membership level.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to review complex processes and datasets and draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
