Job Title: Assistant Director of People Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our People Services Team at North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. As Assistant Director of People Services, you will play a key role in driving our People Strategy and ensuring that our staff are supported to deliver exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position that requires a strong understanding of HR, OD, and wellbeing processes. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals and working closely with our senior management team to identify and deliver effective business-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the People Services Team to deliver high-quality HR, OD, and wellbeing services
  • Develop and implement our People Strategy to support business objectives
  • Work closely with senior leaders to identify and deliver effective business-focused solutions
  • Manage and develop a team of professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional services
  • Ensure compliance with HR best practice and employment legislation
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in HR, OD, and wellbeing. You will need to have:

  • Masters-level qualification in a people management subject or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of CIPD Chartered membership level
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Fellow of the CIPD - Senior Leadership/Executive Development Programme
