Teaching Assistant SEMH Provision

Academics Ltd is a school for students with SEMH needs, aged 11-16. We are currently seeking a Behaviour Support staff member to work with young people with Social and Emotional needs and a diagnosis of Mental Health needs.
The ideal candidate will be able to take a therapeutic approach and have a strong willingness to work with and make a difference to the lives of vulnerable and disaffected young people, that can display challenging and volatile behaviours.
This role involves managing challenging behaviours from students, as well as supporting them with working through their social and emotional difficulties and mental health difficulties.
As a Behaviour Support staff member, you will work closely with the Class Teacher and Supporting staff to ensure the pupils get the most from their education. This is a full-time role, with a competitive salary of approximately £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

- Teaching Assistant, Mental Health, Childcare or Youth Worker experience
