Overview

We are looking for a talented Internal Communication and Engagement Specialist to join us on what will initially be a 6-month FTC to drive internal engagement for large-scale change programs. Bringing people on any change journey is one of the most critical parts of any successful internal transformation. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing and delivering communication strategies, creating communication artifacts and portals to deliver timely and engaging communication programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working in agile teams, ideally within Financial Services and a consulting environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Communication specialist looking for a highly diverse, client-facing role where no two projects are the same. If you have strong observation, critical thinking, and inter-personal skills as well as impeccable attention to detail along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment then we are looking for you.

As a Communication and Engagement Specialist, you will:

  • Translate engagement requirements into communication strategies that are realistic, engaging, and timely.
  • Facilitate workshops to understand colleague engagement requirements and understand the business's communication channels and opportunities to enhance them.
  • Manage project delivery, including the creation and management of delivery roadmaps/timelines for your own outputs as well as any designers within your team.
  • Articulately communicate statuses of project delivery to senior stakeholders.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative research to generate meaningful insights that will drive creative communication strategies.
  • Be responsible for the overall visual output of the engagement experience that you are designing.
  • Be able to work with strict brand guidelines.
  • Be able to effectively communicate and defend your strategies with key client stakeholders.
  • Design, implement, and track success criteria of all engagement strategies and artifacts.

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills.
  • Copywriting skills.
  • A good understanding of human psychology.
  • Adobe Illustrator and InDesign skills.
  • Ability to film and edit videos.
  • Ability to create short animations.
  • Skills in creating internal SharePoint/google sites pages.

  • How do we engage internal bank colleagues to start adopting a new internal system that has so far not been widely adopted?
  • A bank-wide agile transformation training program is about to start, how do we build a communication strategy to build excitement and encourage participation.
  • The bank is about to hire new colleagues into their engineering area, how do we ensure they are trained and upskilled in the bank's ways of working and feel part of the culture.
  • Senior management don't feel like their messages and requests are being listened to, how can we help ensure people are engaged.
  • Currently training materials are outdated and boring, how can we make them more engaging and effective.
  • Technical teams need to create a business case for additional funding, they can't tell a compelling story without going into too much technical detail, how do we support them to help tell that story in an easy-to-understand way.
