Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our Community Empowerment and Engagement Service as a Community Engagement Officer. This role will play a key part in building and developing relationships with key partners to support local empowerment and engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with community planning partnerships, neighbourhood networks, community groups, and the local voluntary sector to develop community capacity within local areas.

The salary range for this role is £36,312 - £42,717 per year, and we offer a hybrid work-from-home arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key partners to support local empowerment and engagement.
  • Work with community planning partnerships, neighbourhood networks, community groups, and the local voluntary sector to develop community capacity within local areas.
  • Contribute to the development of community engagement strategies and plans.
  • Provide support and guidance to community groups and organisations.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners.
  • Experience of working in a community engagement or development role.
  • Knowledge of community planning and development principles.
