Ultrasound Service Manager

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced professional to lead the operational management of Ultrasound Services across the Northern Care Alliance. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the provision of operational management, line management of Clinical Lead sonographers, and support to the Radiology Senior Management Team in developing strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the operational delivery of Ultrasound Services, managing workflow and waiting times, and contributing to the delivery of an efficient and responsive service.
- Develop operational policies for Ultrasound, ensuring standard processes are developed trust-wide to realise efficiencies.
- Develop capacity plans for Ultrasound to ensure the Directorate can meet future service demands.
- Regularly review performance, discussing trends with Clinical Lead sonographers and Directorate Managers, and provide support and coaching as required.
- Lead the initial investigation of informal and formal complaints, seeking support when required.
- Lead on governance issues in Ultrasound service, instigating reporting and investigation of untoward incidents, and reporting findings and recommendations to the Directorate management team.

Person Specification- First degree in Clinical Specialty related to Imaging or Ultrasound.
- Proven management/supervisory experience.
- Track record of managing change and developing practice.
