Ultrasound Services Manager

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Clinical Services Lead to join our Imaging Senior Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the operational management of Ultrasound Services across the Northern Care Alliance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our patients.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and assist the Clinical Lead Sonographers in the delivery of the Ultrasound service and staff individual development needs.
- Contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Ultrasound service, managing the workflow and waiting times across ultrasound services, and meeting internal and wider hospital targets.
- Develop operational policies for Ultrasound, ensuring standard processes are developed trust-wide to realise efficiencies.
- Develop capacity plans for Ultrasound to ensure the Directorate can meet future service demands.
- Regularly review the performance of each site, discussing trends with the Clinical Lead sonographers and Directorate Managers, providing support and coaching as required.
- Lead the initial investigation of all informal and formal complaints for the service, seeking the support of the Directorate Managers or Clinical Leads when required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large NHS trust, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, and Salford. As a Clinical Services Lead, you will be responsible for the provision of operational management of Ultrasound Services, managing all elements of Ultrasound including continuity of service delivery across all NCA sites.
Person Specification- First degree in Clinical Specialty related to Imaging or Ultrasound e.g., HCPC, NMC
- Proven management/supervisory experience
- Track record of managing change and developing practice.
