UAL Awarding Body is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Examiner for Music Performance and Production. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the Further Education sector and a comprehensive understanding of UAL Awarding Body qualifications, educational frameworks, and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

The Chief Examiner will provide expert advice, subject knowledge, and academic input to the design, development, delivery, and assessment of UAL Awarding Body qualifications in music performance and production. This will include qualifications at Level 1, 2, 3, and L4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and subject knowledge to the design, development, and delivery of UAL Awarding Body qualifications in music performance and production.
  • Contribute to the development of assessment materials and quality assurance processes.
  • Work closely with the Associate Dean of Academic Standards and team of Chief Examiners to ensure the delivery of high-quality qualifications.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including teachers, students, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in music or an equivalent professional qualification in the music sector.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of UAL Awarding Body qualifications, educational frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Have experience of working in the Further Education sector.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and persuasively, particularly in relation to assessment, quality assurance, and external verification.
