We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to lead our mental health unit. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team of registered nurses and nursing assistants. They will also have a thorough knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and experience of working within mental health services at band 5.

The post holder will be responsible for leading a team of registered nurses and nursing assistants in the delivery of mental health care, promoting the interests of service users, and ensuring that delegated nursing care is effectively implemented in a safe manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of registered nurses and nursing assistants in the delivery of mental health care
  • Promote the interests of service users and ensure that delegated nursing care is effectively implemented
  • Exercise professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills, knowledge, and expertise
  • Use research, audit, enquiry, and scholarship to plan, implement, and evaluate concepts and strategies leading to improvements in care
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RNMH) qualification
  • Preparation of mentors certificate, ENB 998, or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Experience of working within mental health services at band 5
