About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Ramsey Unit, a 15-bedded mental health unit for individuals with dementia.

The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to working within in-patient mental health services and will be able to offer effective clinical leadership and support to a team of registered nurses and nursing assistants.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work within a challenging in-patient mental health unit.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of registered nurses and nursing assistants in the delivery of mental health care.
  2. Promote the interests of service users and ensure that delegated nursing care is effectively implemented in a safe manner.
  3. Use research, audit, enquiry, and scholarship to plan, implement, and evaluate concepts and strategies leading to improvements in care.

Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RNMH)
  • Preparation of mentors certificate, ENB 998, or equivalent

The successful candidate will be expected to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week, and both full and part-time contracts are available.
