About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our team at Precision for Medicine. As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientists in the laboratory, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and contributing to the development of new treatments for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inventory, and process fresh patient samples and nonclinical samples to tissue block.
  • Perform basic support for immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays, including receiving and inventorying incoming samples, performing tissue processing, and preparing reagents.
  • Contribute to laboratory housekeeping and organization, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Manage biosample inventory, including tracking and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist scientists with assays as required, providing support and expertise to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
