About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Apprentice to join our team at Precision for Medicine. As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our scientists in the laboratory, ensuring the smooth operation of our processes, and contributing to the development of new treatments for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inventory, and process fresh patient samples and nonclinical samples to tissue block.
  • Perform basic support for immunohistochemistry (IHC) assays.
  • Conduct laboratory housekeeping and organization, preparation of associated laboratory reagents, and manage biosample inventory.
  • Assist other scientists with assays as required.
Requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
  • Ability to learn quickly and absorb new skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
What We Offer
  • A competitive starting salary of £18,000 per year (increasing to National Living Wage if aged 21+ after 12 months).

Eligibility

To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must be over 18+, not in full-time education, have lived in the UK for 3 years, and have the right to work in the UK. Additionally, applicants are required to live within 45 minutes of the laboratory and hold a full UK driving license.
