At BDO UK LLP, we are seeking a seasoned Senior Audit Manager to join our Financial Services Audit team. As a leader in the financial services industry, you will be responsible for providing quality assurance to businesses and ensuring the stability and authenticity of the financial markets.

About the Role

This is a senior management position that requires extensive experience in auditing within the financial services sector, including clients in asset management, capital markets, and insurance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CASS rules, client money and assets audits, and reporting to the FCA. Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework.
  • Develop and implement effective audit strategies to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Mentor and develop staff, including coordinating staff projects, mentoring, counselling, appraising, and recruiting.
Requirements
  • ACA/ICAS qualified or overseas equivalent.
  • Significant experience of auditing within the financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of the CASS rules and experience of client money and assets audits, reporting to the FCA.
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements.
