Job Overview

We are seeking a Chief Financial Administrator to manage the financial administration, reporting, and claims for our Medical Device Manufacturing Centre. This role involves working closely with the MDMC Manager and Director, as well as providing financial reporting to Scottish Enterprise.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control all aspects of financial administration, reporting, and claims.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation, preparation, and submission of claims, invoices, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records for audit purposes.
  • Provide financial reporting and support for the MDMC Management Team and Executive Group.
  • Offer advice and training on grant conditions and project accounting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in financial management within a research environment.
  • Previous experience with Oracle Fusion or similar accounting software.
  • Proven experience in research finance management.
  • Good knowledge of legal, statutory, and governance applications.

Benefits

This role offers an estimated salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. Part-time working and job share options are available.
