The Role: Purchasing Assistant

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our expanding client based in Tipton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring accurate records, and resolving supplier disputes.

You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience within a similar role, with proficiency in inventory management systems and excellent communication skills. Your ability to think ahead and resolve problems effectively will also be crucial in this position.

Key Tasks:
• Manage inventory levels and purchase orders
• Conduct regular stock checks to maintain accuracy
• Collaborate with the accounts team to resolve payment and discrepancy issues
• Oversee SKU code management, product launches, and clearance initiatives
• Create work orders to meet seasonal inventory demands and work closely with sales and assembly teams
• Coordinate consumable purchases across all departments

Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of inventory management systems
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 08:30am - 17:00pm
Friday: 08:30am - 13:00pm

Compensation Package: £22,500 per annum
