About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Royal Oak Inn. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Design and implement menus that meet the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavor, taking into account customer preferences and business requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a diverse team of chefs, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to food safety guidelines and ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Inn's leadership team to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for both guests and staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality culinary experiences in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, inventory, and staff.
  • A deep understanding of food safety and quality management principles.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with other senior chefs and the leadership team to drive business success.
