About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Yunex Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards and risks across the organization.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers, to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical advice and support to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve the implementation of risk assessments, work instructions, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Incident Management: Investigate and manage incidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions, to minimize the risk of future occurrences.
  • Compliance: Assist in maintaining ISO and FORS (Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme) accreditation and support internal and external audits.
Requirements
  • Experience: Recent and demonstrable experience as a Health and Safety Specialist or equivalent role.
  • Qualifications: Relevant professional qualification, such as a Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety (essential), and a Level 6 Health and Safety qualification and a second related discipline (preferred).
  • Skills: Excellent communication, proactive support, and ability to act as a role model.
  • Expertise: Subject matter expert with specialist advice and support capabilities.
  • Professional Membership: Membership of an appropriate professional body, such as Chartered membership (desirable).
