- Develop and implement safe operational procedures to ensure compliance with SHEQ systems, policies, and regulations
- Perform regular site inspections to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure all working practices are safe and compliant with relevant legislation
- Design and deliver training programs to promote a culture of safety and health
- Review and update contractor and supplier information to ensure compliance with SHEQ requirements
- Lead depot Health and Safety meetings to discuss key issues and action plans
- Maintain accurate records of inspection findings and produce reports to inform improvement initiatives
- Investigate and respond to incidents, accidents, and near misses
- Produce reports, bulletins, and alerts to communicate key safety information
- Ensure the safe use and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Monitor the use and disposal of hazardous substances, including asbestos and waste oil
- Provide expert advice on a range of SHEQ areas, including fire regulations, hazardous substances, and occupational health
- NEBOSH General certification
- Up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and industry best practices
- Full driving license
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Proactive and self-motivated approach
- Confident communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Positive attitude and ability to demonstrate initiative
