Job Title: Health and Safety Coordinator

Location: Weston-super-Mare

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 + package

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Fusion People Ltd. As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures to identify, consider, and control all relevant hazards.
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check compliance with SHEQ systems, policies, and procedures, and outline corrective/improvement requirements where issues are identified.
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
  • Develop and deliver house training relevant to SHEQ.
  • Review contractor/supplier information and any required updates or corrective action.
  • Complete depot Health & Safety meetings.
  • Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  • Record, investigate, and action as required incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Produce reports, bulletins, alerts, toolbox talks, etc. as required.
  • Ensure plant and equipment is installed and used safely.
  • Monitor the use and organisation of hazardous substances, e.g. asbestos, waste oil, etc. (COSHH).
  • Advise on a range of SHEQ areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, occupational health, operational needs, etc.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH General
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and employers' industry
  • Full driving licence
  • Good Microsoft Office Skills
