About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to join our team as a Band 6 Nurse in Acute Medicine. As a key member of our senior nursing team, you will be responsible for coordinating the workforce and patient admissions and discharges on a shift ward, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinating the workforce and patient admissions and discharges on a shift ward
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of patients
  • Managing Datix incidents, appraisals, absences, and audits
  • Working closely with the medical team, ward therapy teams, and dementia delirium and falls practitioner to improve patient experience and outcomes
Requirements
  • Significant relevant clinical experience
  • Understanding of NMC Code of Practice and requirements for practice and behavior
  • Knowledge of elderly care medicine
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
