About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Driver to join our logistics team at Macfarlane Packaging. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering packages to our customers in the local region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Company HGV vehicles and operate Company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Load your vehicle daily on return and secure load for safety (using forklifts, reach/counterbalance).
  • Provide a professional HGV driving service, to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Comply with the vehicle security and standing procedure at all times.
  • Carry out HGV vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks (reporting defects) prior to the operation of any vehicle.
  • Report any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting.
