Job Overview

The UKSI Ltd provides fire and security systems for multi-site and national operators, across the UK. A dedicated team instructs their regional delivery teams to provide a first-class service, installing, commissioning and maintaining fire and security systems.

About the Role
  • Day-to-day management of Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Checking, verifying and returning external contractors' invoices (Application for Payment) and thereafter processing invoices
  • Preparing and sending client pre-approval accounts ahead of invoicing
  • Credit Control
  • Management reporting - providing Director with financial reports, as required
  • Collaborating with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes
  • Maintaining cloud-based software (SharePoint) for finance-related information
  • Managing accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments
  • Undertaking any additional administrative tasks as necessary, as part of the financial function of the business
Requirements
  • Ideal candidate is a problem solver, reliable and trustworthy, when dealing with confidential information
  • Essential to be able to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment and prioritise your own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Great with numbers and happy to work on your own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or errors
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, while adhering to deadlines
  • High IT proficiency and ability to work across multiple systems effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organised, computer literate, proactive with a can-do attitude, pleasant and approachable
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounting software would be advantageous, although not essential
  • Knowledge of VAT, Bank Reconciliations and Payroll would be advantageous, although not essential
Experience
  • HNC/HND equivalent qualified or experience in bookkeeping/finance function of a business. Ideally minimum of 1 year bookkeeping experience
