Share Schemes Tax Assistant Manager

Pro-Tax is seeking a highly skilled Share Schemes Tax Assistant Manager to join our Incentives & Reward team in London. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping listed and private companies design, implement, and operate share and cash incentive arrangements in the UK and overseas.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Advising on Commercial and Practical Issues: Provide expert guidance on the structure and design of employee equity and cash incentive plans, ensuring compliance with tax, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Implementation Support: Assist companies in implementing equity and cash incentive plans in the UK and globally, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption.
  3. Tax and Legal Implications: Advise on the tax and legal implications of incentive plans worldwide, ensuring that both employers and employees are aware of their obligations and entitlements.
  4. Mobile Employees/Expatriates: Provide guidance on the tax implications of incentives for mobile employees and expatriates, ensuring compliance with international tax laws.
  5. Strategic Development: Develop strategies for the tax-compliant and tax-efficient delivery of incentives, ensuring that companies maximize their benefits while minimizing their tax liabilities.
  6. Document Creation: Draft share plan and related employee communication documents, including plan rules, FAQs, and tax guides, to ensure clarity and understanding among stakeholders.
  7. Technical Updates: Assist in preparing technical updates to send to clients and contacts, keeping them informed of changes in tax and legal treatment of incentives.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team to ensure deadlines are met, and workload is prioritized effectively.
  9. Legislative Awareness: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation in this field, ensuring that Pro-Tax remains at the forefront of industry knowledge.
  10. Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate commercial awareness and understanding of the business implications of incentive plans, ensuring that Pro-Tax provides value-added services to our clients.
  11. High-Quality Deliverables: Produce high-quality, client-facing documents that are technically accurate, well-written, and meet the highest standards of professionalism.
